SubStitler is a free and easy-to-use subtitling solution for those video players, which do not have the functionality to show subtitles. It can open any TXT, SUB, SRT, SSA, and AQT subtitle files and some other with no standard file extensions, and it places itself on top of your video player, showing the text with the appearance of your choice.
You can set up the layout of the subtitles beforehand, but you can always change them quickly while playing. You can either open the complete menu options by left clicking with your mouse in the subtitles area, or use its convenient keyboard shortcuts. You can decide on the font, the style, the colour, the size, and even the characters set you prefer to use to view your subtitles. You can also customize the outline setup, adjusting the width of the shadow in the letters. SubStitler will recommend you a specific layout according to the file used, and you can even tell the program to use the best font parameters according to the length of the longest line in your subtitle file. The frame rate of the film can also be selected, to make sure that the subtitles are synchronized with the pace of the video.
You can also use SubStitler to show subtitles while watching TV or DVB on your system.
